Wild, Wonderful West Virginia
There is a bike race on the outskirts of Morgantown that carves a hilly course through West Virginia and Pennsylvania. It is HARD. In the 74-miles it takes to complete the Hilly Billy Roubaix, a rider will come to know their mettle. On June 25, I finished the seventh edition of the race. There were mud pits and pickles and mountains and gravel descents and swimming holes. I made a race report with high points and low points and irreverent quotes and statistics, and I met some rad people along the way. You can read it here.
